Overview

Racca Infotech successfully executed a High Availability (HA) wireless and network infrastructure solution for Keolis India Pvt Ltd at the Pune Metro Operations Center. The project involved strengthening the existing network ecosystem using Aruba technologies, including dual Aruba Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), Aruba switches, and approximately 60 Aruba Access Points to ensure seamless connectivity for critical metro operations.

Challenges

The environment was highly critical as it directly supported Pune Metro operations, where uninterrupted connectivity is essential for daily functioning. Any downtime could have impacted operational efficiency, making execution extremely sensitive. Additionally, the existing system required integration with updated configurations, including IP addressing, VLAN restructuring, SSID management, and Radius authentication setup, all while ensuring zero disruption to live operations.

Solution

To ensure smooth execution, the RIPL team carried out all activities during post-working

hours to avoid operational impact. The team implemented HA configuration for Aruba WLCs, optimized switch and access point deployment, and successfully updated the existing network infrastructure. Key configurations included Radius setup, IP planning, VLAN segmentation, and SSID provisioning. Despite the complexity, the entire solution was deployed and stabilized within three days, ensuring a resilient, high-availability network that supports uninterrupted metro operations.
