Overview

Racca Infotech Pvt. Ltd. (RIPL) successfully delivered a comprehensive Smart Campus IT Infrastructure for Garware College, Pune, enabling a secure, connected, and future-ready digital environment. The project encompassed end-to-end SITC (Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning) of Advanced Networking, Cybersecurity, and Communication Solutions. Designed to support modern academic and administrative needs, the solution ensures seamless connectivity, high performance, and reliable communication across the campus.

Challenges

Implementing a robust Smart Campus IT Infrastructure for an educational institution like Garware College required addressing multiple challenges. The campus needed a secure network environment capable of handling increasing internet usage while protecting against cyber threats. Establishing a reliable backbone for uninterrupted connectivity across departments was critical. Additionally, there was a need for an efficient and scalable communication system to streamline internal coordination. Integrating all these elements while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing academic activities posed a significant execution challenge.

Solution by RIPL

RIPL addressed these challenges by deploying a Sophos XGS 2300 Firewall with Xstream Protection, ensuring advanced network security and threat prevention. The passive infrastructure included D-Link armoured fiber optic cabling and Cat6 structured cabling, providing a high-speed and durable network backbone.

For active networking, Netgear POE switches (24-port, 16-port, and 8-port) with SFP modules were installed to enable efficient data distribution and scalability. To enhance communication, Matrix Comsec Prasar UCS IPPBX with 200 licenses and approximately 40 Sparsh VP210 IP phones were deployed, creating a seamless IP-based telephony system. Additionally, two PRI lines were configured to ensure reliable voice communication.

This well-integrated Smart Campus IT Infrastructure has empowered Garware College with enhanced security, improved connectivity, and streamlined communication, supporting its journey toward digital excellence.
