Overview

Racca Infotech Pvt. Ltd. (RIPL) successfully delivered a comprehensive surveillance and network infrastructure solution at the Vyas Building of MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune. The 10-floor structure (comprising 2 parking levels, 7 operational floors, and 1 terrace) required a robust and scalable system to enhance campus security and enable real-time monitoring. As part of the project, surveillance coverage was also extended around the Vyas building perimeter to ensure complete security visibility.

RIPL deployed an extensive surveillance system comprising 400+ IP cameras, including dome and bullet cameras powered by Hikvision, supported by 64-channel NVRs and high-capacity 10TB storage drives for seamless recording and efficient data management.

To ensure a reliable and high-performance network backbone, RIPL implemented enterprise-grade Netgear switching solutions with PoE and SFP integration. The passive infrastructure was built using premium Commscope components, including Cat6 and fiber patch cords, while Cadyce cabling solutions supported AV and connectivity requirements. Structured cabling, fiber deployment, LED displays, and wall-mounted racks were integrated to deliver a scalable, future-ready infrastructure with centralized monitoring capabilities.

Challenges

Executing this project in a newly constructed building environment required close coordination with multiple parallel vendors involved in the Vyas project, including teams handling flooring, POP, electrical works, and other civil activities. Managing dependencies across these teams while ensuring timely execution of the surveillance and network infrastructure posed a significant challenge.

Additionally, handling the installation and configuration of hundreds of surveillance devices, ensuring seamless integration with the network infrastructure, and maintaining consistent performance across multiple zones required meticulous planning and execution. Adhering to strict timelines, safety protocols, and quality standards further added to the overall project complexity.
